How gas prices have changed in Dothan in the last week

Gasoline prices are dropping to multiyear lows as more Americans opt to travel less in the cooler temperatures. With drivers now seeing some of the cheapest prices at the pump since the COVID-19 pandemic, the average cost for a gallon of gas is down nearly 3 cents from last week and about 13 cents from the month prior.

“It appears to be just a matter of time before the national average falls below $3 per gallon for the first time since May 2021,” GasBuddy analyst Patrick De Haan said in a statement Monday. “Something we’ve already seen for diesel prices, which many Americans will be thankful for as we get closer to Thanksgiving.”

In the meantime, some late-season tropical storm formation in the Caribbean is being monitored for its potential to threaten Gulf states and their oil and gas infrastructure.
