Alabama man killed after being ejected from ATV, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Friday night when his ATV struck an embankment, ejecting the man from the vehicle, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) occurred at approximately 9:09 p.m. Friday, and has claimed the life of a Centre, Alabama, man.
Scott F. Wade, 51, was fatally injured when the 1999 Honda TRX 400FS ATV he was operating left the roadway and struck an embankment. Wade was thrown from the ATV and pronounced deceased at the scene. Wade was not using a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash occurred on Cherokee County 28, approximately nine miles east of Piedmont, in Cherokee County.
