A 23-year-old Florida man has been indicted after federal prosecutors say he coerced Alabama children using harassment and threats into having sex to produce child pornography.
A federal grand jury indicted a Marion County, Florida, man on multiple child sexual exploitation and cyberstalking charges, announced U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent in Charge Katrina W. Berger.
A nine-count indictment filed in U.S. District Court charges Trevon Lamont Brown, 23, with two counts of sex trafficking, two counts of sexual exploitation of children, two counts of coercion and enticement of a minor, and three counts of cyberstalking.
According to the indictment, in June 2023, Brown enticed two individuals by use of force, threats of force, fraud, and coercion to cause those two individuals to engage in commercial sex acts in Madison County, Alabama. Between August 2021 and November 2021, Brown induced and used a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing videos. Between December 2020 and March 2021, Brown enticed and coerced another minor to engage in sexual exploitation. Brown was also charged with cyberstalking three individuals in Jefferson County, Alabama, by harassing and intimidating them on apps, such as TextNow and Snapchat, between December 2020 and August 2023.
HSI Birmingham investigated the case along with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Clarksville Police Department in Tennessee, and Ocala Police Department in Florida. Assistant United States Attorney R. Leann White is prosecuting the case.
