An Amber Alert for a missing 3-year-old boy has been canceled, police said, after he was found safe.

Police said Willie Edward McClain, 49, was arrested for allegedly shooting his wife on Dewberry Lane in Forestdale and abducting their son, prompting the issuance of an Amber Alert.

The 31-year-old woman’s gunshot wounds are not believed to be life-threatening, investigators said.
