An Alabama woman is being sought on murder charges, police said Friday.

Selma police said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Taylor Thomas.

Thomas is wanted for murder and assault in the first degree.

On May 3, 2024, officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Alabama Ave, regarding two gunshot victims. Upon arrival, officers were advised that the victims had already been transferred to the Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Upon arrival at the hospital, officers observed a female and a male both suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim was transferred to Baptist Medical Center South where he later succumbed to his injuries.

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 29-year-old, Thomas.
