An Alabama man has been charged after a gun police say he owned was picked up by a child who accidentally shot another child last week.
Clarence Edward Turner, of Huntsville, has been charged with reckless endangerment and a firearms violation, Madison, Alabama, police said.
Police said that just after noon on May 3 one child shot another child at the Twice Daily gas station on Graphics Drive in Madison.
The child who was shot was taken to a Huntsville hospital. Police said the child has been released and should fully recover.
The details of how the child obtained the firearm were not disclosed. Police also did not say if either child involved was related to Turner.
