Alabama police Thursday said they had arrested six teens and seized six firearms as part of an investigation into recent shootings.

All six of the juveniles in custody were under 16 years old, police said.

The investigation occurred in Dothan, Alabama, police said. Investigators discovered five handguns and an AR-15 style, semi-automatic rifle.

Charges the juveniles face include receiving stolen property 2nd degree (stolen firearms), certain persons forbidden to carry firearms, burglary 3rd degree and possession of marijuana.
