An Alabama man was killed Thursday after his van flipped over and struck a tree, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle accident happened just before 8 a.m. Thursday and claimed the life of Brandon R. Watson, 35, of Madison, Alabama, state troopers said.

Watson’s 2019 Chevrolet van left the road on Interstate 65 in Jefferson County, hit an embankment flipped over and struck a tree.

Watson was partially ejected from the van during the accident.
