A fight over a Pop-Tart has left one Alabama man dead and another in jail facing manslaughter charges, police said.

The incident happened in the small Alabama town of Ozark earlier this month where police said Daryl Miley, 59, struck his roommate, Billy Joe Maynard, 63, with a metal pipe after the two reportedly got into a fight over a Pop-Tart, police said.

The assault happened on April 4 and Maynard died later that day from his injuries, police said.

Miley has been charged with manslaughter and was being held Friday in the Dale County Jail without bond.
