An Alabama man was killed Friday night when his car left the road and struck two utility poles, state troopers said.

The one-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. Friday and claimed the life of Justin A. Hartley, 25, of Blocton, state troopers reported Saturday.

The accident happened on Shelby County 13, near Shelby County 1, approximately 9 miles southwest of Helena, troopers said.

Hartley was driving a Chevrolet Camaro and was pronounced dead at the scene.
