Alabama man killed in head-on collision, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed earlier this week in a head-on collision, state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Selma, Alabama, man.
Jamarcus R. Thomas, 26, was fatally injured when the 2009 Honda Accord he was driving collided head-on with the 2012 Cadillac CTS driven by Angela D. Murray, 63, of Prattville.
Thomas was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Murray was injured and transported to Baptist South Medical Center in Montgomery for treatment.
Melvin L. Barnes Jr., 25, of Selma, was a passenger in the Accord, was also injured and transported to Baptist South for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 14 near the 142 mile marker, approximately one mile east of Autaugaville, in Autauga County.
