Man found dead in Alabama Air BnB. Investigators trying to determine how weekend gathering turned deadly.

Authorities are investigating how a late-night gathering at an Alabama Air BnB turned deadly shortly after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Officials with the Birmingham Police Department are conducting a homicide investigation after responding to reports of a person being shot in the 900 block of Dugan Avenue.
When officer arrived at the scene and then entered the residence, they discovered a victim lying unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced deceased the victim, who was identified as Phong Nguyen, 21, of Birmingham, Alabama.
A preliminary investigation suggests the residence where the victim was found dead is a short-term rental (Airbnb).
Officials believe a party or gathering was being held at the residence when someone fired gunshots.
Detectives are working to learn what events led to the victim being shot and also if the suspect(s) was inside at the party or outside.
There is no one in custody.
