An Alabama 2-year-old boy was killed Friday night in a dog attack, the second deadly dog attack in a week, authorities said.

First responders were called to an address on T.R. Christian Road in New Hope at approximately 5:21 p.m., a Huntsville Emergency Medical Services spokesman said.

The boy suffered fatal wounds from the dog attack and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The child, whose identity was not immediately released, is the second Alabama child to be killed by dog attack.

On Monday, 4-year-old Beau Clark was killed when he was attacked by a neighbor’s dog.
