Alabama woman killed in head-on collision with pick-up truck, state troopers say

An Alabama woman was killed Tuesday when her car collided, head-on with a pick-up truck, state troopers reported.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of Jackson Gap woman.
Jeanette Griffin, 67, was fatally injured when the 2007 Toyota Camry she was driving collided head-on with the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by James L. Duckett, 20, of Wetumpka.
Griffin was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Duckett was transported to the Russell Medical Center in Alexander City for treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 49 near the 33 mile marker, approximately one mile south of Jackson Gap, in Tallapoosa County.
