Alabama pedestrian killed, driver sought after fleeing scene, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Wednesday morning after he was struck by a vehicle, whose driver fled the scene, Alabama state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash involving the pedestrian occurred at approximately 5:35 a.m., Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Huntsville man.
The pedestrian, Cyril A. Nembhard, 66, was fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle.
Nembhard was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the crash left the scene.
The vehicle’s make, model, and the driver is currently unknown.
The crash occurred on Indian Creek Road near Jones Street, approximately one mile north of Huntsville, in Madison County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is investigating the incident.
