Alabama Skies: Tuesday’s weather brings clouds for some, freezing fog for others
Published 7:47 pm Monday, December 11, 2023
Tuesday will bring a unique weather feature for some Alabama people. Although dropping below freezing is common across the state during December, especially in northern regions of the state, freezing fog isn’t as common, especially where we expect it early Tuesday morning: south Alabama.
Although fog can be expected to cause some delays for a while Tuesday morning, thankfully, the freezing fog won’t last more than an hour or so.
Most of the state will be sunny Tuesday, but we will have some increasing clouds in northern communities.
North Alabama
Increasing clouds with a high of 55. Partly cloudy Tuesday night with a low of 33.
Central Alabama
Sunny with a high of 56. Overnight, partly cloudy with a low of 33.
South Alabama
Widespread fog in the morning, then widespread freezing fog possible. Mostly sunny with a high of 57. Partly cloudy overnight with a low of 31.
Gulf Coast
Mostly sunny with a high of 59. Partly cloudy overnight with a low of 39.
