An Alabama man injured in a weekend crash has died.

Charles N. Turner, 44, of Columbiana, died Tuesday at a Birmingham hospital two days after a wreck that happened on Hollybrook Road in Shelby County.

The wreck occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. Sunday two miles southeast of Columbiana.

Authorities said Turner was a passenger in a Chevrolet Malibu left the roadway and struck a tree.

Turner was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt when the wreck occurred.

The driver of the vehicle, Joshua Evans, 21, was not injured in the wreck.
