A pedestrian was killed Monday evening in Alabama when she was struck by a car, state troopers reported.

The single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 5:12 p.m. Monday, and claimed the life of a Boaz, Alabama, woman.

Amber L. Huffman, 30, was fatally injured when she was struck by the 2008 Honda Civic driven by Christian A. Doggett, 24, of Guntersville, Alabama.

Huffman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 75 near the 45 mile marker, approximately 2 miles north of Snead, in Blount County.
