A man has been charged with murder in connection with an Alabama house fire that killed two men and injured a child, police said Wednesday.

Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge said Arthur Turner, 51, was arrested earlier this month in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Turner was charged with two counts of murder in connection with the June 20 house fire.

Two adult men where found dead after the fire and an 8-year-old girl was injured, police said.

Additional charges against Turner are pending, Partridge said.
