An Alabama man was killed Thursday when the ATV he was operating struck a ditch and flipped over, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash involved an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9.

The crash killed a Phenix City man.

Dalton C. Osborne, 19, was fatally injured when the 2017 Can Am Maverick ATV, he was operating left the roadway struck a ditch and overturned.

Osborne was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Stillwell Road, approximately 14 miles south of Phenix City, in Russell County.
