Wednesday is going to be another nice day across Alabama, but we have some hope for much-needed rain soon!

With the latest forecasts and model runs, northern Alabama will have an 80 percent chance of rain while decent rain chances stretch into southern Alabama. Although we’re not expecting enough rain to alleviate drought conditions in parts of the state, any measurable precipitation is welcome at this point.

Another note in the forecast is for the Gulf Coast. If you’re heading to the beaches this weekend, use caution as rip currents are a moderate risk.

North Alabama

Central Alabama

Sunny with a high of 71. Mostly clear overnight with a low of 50.

South Alabama

Sunny with a high of 74. Clear overnight with a low of 48.

Gulf Coast

Sunny with a high of 75. Mostly clear Wednesday night with a low of 54.
