The former Auburn football player who was allegedly subject of a murder conspiracy by his estranged wife and two other men apparently helped the three get out of jail in the Bahamas, a local news outlet reported.
The BahamasCourtNews.com reported that prosecutors withdrew their prior objections to the court granting bail for Lindsay Shiver, a former Alabama beauty queen now living in Georgia and the Bahamas.
Prosecutors removed the objection after allegedly speaking with Robert Shiver, Lindsay’s estranged husband.
Lindsay Shiver, her alleged lover Terrance Bethel and Faron Newbold Jr. were arrested in July after police said they stumbled upon WhatsApp messages involving the murder-for-hire plot to kill Robert Shiver.
Lindsay Shiver was given a $100,000 cash ball, but was ordered to wear a tracking device on her ankle and forbidden to leave the Bahamas until an October 5 court hearing.
Newbold and Bethel were each given $20,000 bail and also required to wearing tracking devices as well as to check in with police several times each week.
Lindsay Shiver, now 36, was the Miss Houston County in Dothan. Her husband played football at Auburn from 2006-2008.
