A $50,000 reward is offered in the disappearance of an Alabama woman who stopped to help a child she saw walking on the interstate.

Police say Carlethia “Carlee” Russell, called 911 when she saw a young child walking near Interstate 459 in Hoover, Alabama, Thursday night.

Before police could arrive a family members who started talking with Russell said Russell was heard asking the child if they were OK, then a scream.

When police arrived minutes later they found Russell’s car, her phone and other belongings but no sign of Russell or the child she had reported.
