Alabama man killed when motorcycle strikes guardrail, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle struck a guardrail ejecting him from the motorcycle, state troopers said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Sunday, and claimed the life of a Holly Pond, Alabama, man.
Derek L. Humphries, 36, was fatally injured when the 2020 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Humphries was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 316 mile marker, approximately three miles north of Vinemont, in Cullman County.
