A 20-year-old Alabama man was killed Friday in a three vehicle wreck with an SUV and an 18-wheeler carrying diesel fuel which caught fire, police said.

At approximately 3:25 p.m., Friday officers with the Priceville Police Department observed and responded to a wreck involving three vehicles at the intersection of Upper River Rd. and Hwy 67.

Officers with the Decatur Police Department and Decatur Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers determined an SUV and a motorcycle were involved in a wreck. The motorcyclist, identified as Jacob Lee Clarke, 20, of Decatur, was pronounced deceased on scene by Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.

The impact of the wreck pushed both the SUV and motorcycle into an 18-wheeler carrying diesel fuel, resulting in a vehicle fire. The driver of the SUV was transported to Decatur-Morgan Hospital to receive treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
