A 58-year-old man was killed in an early morning accident on a rural Alabama road Monday.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:25 a.m. Monday, July 8.

William G. Donaldson, 58, of Center Point, was fatally injured when the 1990 Ford Ranger pickup he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

Donaldson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Autauga County 57 near Valleyview Road, approximately three miles north of Prattville, in Autauga County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
