A man walking in the parking lot of an Alabama business was struck and killed in a weekend hit-and-run incident.

Officials with the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office report that Milton Earl Davis, 58, of Birmingham, was killed early Saturday morning while walking in a business parking lot on Fourth Avenue North in Birmingham.

Officials have not determined the exact time when Davis was struck.

Officials believe the vehicle that hit Davis in the predawn hours left the road, hit Davis and then drove off.

Davis was pronounced dead at 5:33 a.m. Saturday.
