Alabama man ejected from SUV and killed after crashing into fence, state troopers say

An Alabama man was killed early Thursday morning when his SUV struck a fence and then flipped over, ejecting the man, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 12:03 a.m. Thursday, and claimed the life of a Clayton, Alabama, man.

James Earl Fenn, 65, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe he was driving left the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned. Fenn was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash. As a result, he was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Barbour County 43, approximately nine miles south of Clayton, in Barbour County.
