One man dead, two other people injured in head-on collision, state troopers say

A head-on collision Wednesday morning left an Alabama man dead and two others injured, state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Dora, Alabama, man.
Wayne K. Ferguson, 44, was fatally injured when the 2000 Chevrolet S10 he was driving collided head-on with the 2021 GMC Sierra driven by Fernando Garcia-Hernandez, 38, of Albertville.
Ferguson was pronounced deceased at the scene. Passengers of the Sierra, Johnathan Gallegos-Torres, 21, of Albertville, and a 17-year-old were transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 69 near the 253 mile marker, approximately four miles northeast of Cullman, in Cullman County.
