Two Alabama teens shot, left in gas station parking lot, police say; one has life-threatening injuries

Alabama police are investigating a shooting that left two teenagers wounded Monday at a gas station.
Police said the investigation was started after two juveniles were shot in West Birmingham. The incident occurred on Monday evening.
The victims are a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old.
The pair were shot at approximately 9:40 p.m. at the Gas Land gas station located at 1800 Bessemer Road in Birmingham.
Officers arrived on the scene when found the victims lying in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived and transported both victims to Children’s Hospital.
The preliminary investigation suggests the 15-year-old female victim has life-threatening injuries. The 14-year-old male victim has non-life-threatening injuries.
Both victims were in the parking of the Gas Land when an unknown suspect(s) fired shots at them from a vehicle.
Police investigators said they believe the victims were targeted. There is no one in custody.
