An Alabama bicyclist has died from injuries sustained last week in a collision with a motor vehicle, police said.

Jackie R. Borden, 71, died Saturday, Decatur police said, approximately three days after a vehicle struck Borden while riding a bicycle.

The collision occurred just before 10 a.m. Thursday in the 3100 block of Modaus Road Southwest.

Borden was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Borden died Saturday.

The incident remains under investigation, police said.
