Alabama’s Attorney General Steve Marshall and U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Alabama, appeared in court Monday morning in New York for former President Donald Trump’s trial for allegedly falsifying business records, reporters said.

Tuberville and Marshall appeared along with other GOP lawmakers to show support for Tump as he entered the 16th day of his trial for allegedly falsifying business records surrounding his hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, with whom Trump is alleged to have had an affair.

The prosecution called former Trump advisor and lawyer Michael Cohen to the stand.

Tuberville reported cracked a joke with fellow U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, who is also in attendance.

“We’ve seen a couple of mask wearers,” Vance wrote. “Tuberville turns to me and says ‘looks like we forgot our masks.'”

Vance posted on X that they two were laughing about
