An Alabama man was found dead inside a burning house Saturday morning, authorities said Monday.

Fire officials were called to a burning residence in the 1500 block of 53rd Street Ensley on Saturday morning.

Inside they found the body later identified as Antonio Maurice Sistrunk, 52, of Birmingham.

An autopsy showed no evidence of foul play, Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said.

The Birmingham Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire and the Birmingham Police Department is investigating the death.
