Alabama man killed when truck wrecks during police chase

An Alabama man was killed Friday when his pickup truck flipped over while he was fleeing police, officials said.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. Friday, and claimed the life of a Haleyville, Alabama, man.
Joshua H. Cosby, 35, was critically injured when the 1999 Toyota Tacoma he was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned.
Cosby was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Cosby was transported to Lakeland Community Hospital in Haleyville, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Cosby was attempting to elude a Haleyville Police Officer at the time of the crash. The crash occurred on Marion County 62 near Slaughter Pen Road, approximately 1 mile north of Haleyville, in Marion County.
