A 2-year-old Alabama girl drowned at her house Thursday.

Officials from the Killen Police Department are investigating after the toddler drowned in the family pool.

The incident reportedly happened at a residence on Onslow Drive in Killen.

The father reportedly found the girl in the family pool after she managed to exit the house.

The child was taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police say no wrongdoing is suspected in the case at this time.
