A wreck on an Alabama road killed a man Saturday, state troopers said.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m. Saturday, and claimed the life of a Columbus, Georgi, man.

Carlton Horace Davis, 65, was fatally injured when the 2020 Kia Sportage he was driving collided head-on with the 2005 Jaguar X-Type driven by Lora Ann Daniel, 64, of Phenix City.

Davis was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Daniel was transported to an area local hospital for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Lee County 179, approximately 10 miles west of Phenix City, in Lee County.
