Alabama Skies: Our next chance of severe weather is approaching. When will storms arrive?

We have a better idea of the storm potential next week, but we’re going to have a fantastic weekend first.
Saturday will be sunny with highs in the 70s. Sunday will have some clouds moving in, but we’ll remain dry for Easter services and egg hunts. There will be some humidity and temperatures in the lower 80s, so it definitely won’t be as comfortable outside as Saturday.
Monday will arrive with more clouds, but rain should hold off until overnight Monday and Tuesday. Although we’ll all have a chance for some strong storms, the majority of the severe weather should remain in northern Alabama from a Fayette to Birmingham to Anniston line. There’s a Level 2 risk for severe weather from the Storm Prediction Center in that area.
A Level 1 goes farther south.
North Alabama
Sunny with a high of 77. Breezy with wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour. Mostly clear Saturday night with a low of 57.
Central Alabama

South Alabama
Mostly sunny and breezy with a high of 78. Partly cloudy Saturday night with a low of 53.
Gulf Coast
