A 10-year-old Alabama girl reported missing early Sunday was found Tuesday morning and one suspect in her disappearance has been arrested, police said.
Blountsville police said the girl was found safe at approximately 1:35 a.m. Tuesday, at a residence in Warrior, Alabama.
A suspect, who was not immediately identified, was arrested and police said they were working to formally charge the suspect with “numerous” crimes.
“We are very grateful to be able to report on her safety and well-being,” Blountsville Police Chief Shane Best said. “The circumstances of Alexa’s disappearance are currently under thorough investigation, and we ask for your understanding as we will not be providing further details at this time.”
Law enforcement agencies searched using dogs, helicopters and more resources Sunday and Monday in an attempt to locate the girl.
Alexa Bliss disappeared on Sunday having last known to be at her family residence before she left a note indicating her intention to run away. Investigators did not release details of what was in the note, but said early Monday that the family was reunited with the girl.
