Alabama Skies: Front to bring strong storm threat, cooler weather
Published 8:50 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2024
We’re still watching the potential for some strong to severe storms across Alabama to end the week.
Skies will remain sunny to partly cloudy Thursday with temperatures in the 70s with clouds moving in Thursday night. Then, Friday afternoon will have a chance for some rain with a better chance of rain and storms Friday night.
A Level 1 severe threat covers the southern half of the state from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Saturday. Damaging winds and weak tornadoes are the main concerns.
Once the front moves through, our temperatures will drop a few degrees for a day or two.
