Alabama Skies: Fog early, stormy weather on the way
Published 8:56 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024
We may get a little sunshine across the state Sunday, but the next round of storms is on the way.
We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds throughout the state with highs in the mid-70s. Humidity will make an impact, too.
In the morning, fog could also cause some problems, especially early. Patchy fog is possible in central and southern Alabama, but dense fog becomes more of a threat closer to the Gulf Coast counties. We’ll have more fog Sunday night.
Our next storm system is on the way. We’ll have a chance for thunderstorms early in the week with widespread showers. There aren’t risk areas from the Storm Prediction Center yet, but there is a threat for parts of Mississippi Monday. We’ll keep watching to see if that threat moves our direction.
