Alabama woman killed in motorcycle wreck, thrown off highway overpass

An Alabama woman was killed Tuesday night after she lost control of her motorcycle and was thrown off an Interstate overpass.
Wendy Sue Jantz, 52, of Birmingham, Alabama, was riding a motorcycle on the on ramp from Interstate 59/20 to the Elton B. Stephens Expressway at approximately 9:14 p.m. Tuesday when the accident happened.
Authorities say she lost control, struck the side of a concrete barrier and was thrown to the roadway below.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said.
Birmingham police are investigating the accident.
