Alabama authorities arrest capital murder suspect in Texas after two-month manhunt

A man wanted for capital murder in Alabama in December has been taken into custody in Texas.
Officials from the Huntsville Police Department report that Travis Santell Blackburn, 42, was arrested near Austin, Texas, on Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Service’s Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.
Police had been looking for Blackburn since a fatal shooting at a Huntsville apartment complex on Dec. 11. Jacobley Moore, 31, was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Blackburn was booked into the Williamson County Jail in Georgetown, Texas. He is expected to be extradited to Huntsville and booked into the Madison County Jail on the capital murder charge.
