An Alabama high school went on lockdown Tuesday after police said a student reportedly shot two other students, police and media reports indicate.
The incident happened midday on Tuesday at the LeFlore High School in Mobile, Alabama.
Police said one student was reportedly “grazed” by a bullet shot by another juvenile. In the process, police said another student who reportedly was unrelated to the shooter and the first victim was shot in the stomach.
Both shooting victims are reportedly suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
Mobile Police Chief Paul Print told Mobile media that he would not identify the victims, but urged the parents of the alleged shooter to “do the right thing” and turn their child over to authorities.
Police said the incident was not considered an “active shooter” situation and that the school is safe.
