Alabama woman killed, four injured including two children when car strikes bridge, then pickup truck

An Alabama woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when the car she was driving struck a bridge and then a pickup truck, state troopers said.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Tuscumbia, Alabama, woman.

Kimberly H. Williams, 50, was fatally injured when the 2018 Toyota Camry she was driving struck a bridge and then the 2012 Ford F-150 driven by Tony O. Harris, 26, of Town Creek.

Williams was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Harris and a passenger in the Ford, Catera A. Troupe, 23, also of Town Creek, were both injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville.

A 4-year-old and 11-month-old, who were also passengers in the Ford, were injured and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The crash occurred on Alabama 184 near the 14 mile marker, approximately 4 miles north of Town Creek, in Lawrence County.
