Alabama pedestrian struck and killed on highway, state troopers say

An Alabama man walking along a highway was struck by a motorist and killed early Tuesday morning, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Decatur, Alabama, man.

The pedestrian, Curtis O. Robinson, 23, was fatally injured when he was struck by a 2010 Toyota Tacoma driven by Zachary D. Yasson, 36, of Moulton, Alabama.

Robinson was pronounced deceased at the scene, troopers said.

The crash occurred on Alabama 24 near Lawrence 359, approximately five miles southwest of Trinity, in Lawrence County.
