Alabama Skies: Freezing weather to dip southward. Just how far will sub-32 temps reach?

Tuesday will be an outstanding weather day across the entire state, but don’t let the pleasant temperatures catch anyone off guard. It will be cold Tuesday night, but Wednesday night will bring freezing temperatures dipping south all the way to the I-10 corridor.
It will warm back up towards the end of the week with more sunshine. We’re watching the potential for a storm system that could arrive this weekend. Models are showing strong storms could develop, but they don’t agree on timing or exact locations yet.
The Storm Prediction Center has already placed parts of Mississippi under Level 1 and Level 2 risks, which is quite rare this far out. Alabama isn’t under any risk level at this time, but we’ll certainly need to watch what happens.
