Alabama police said a person entered a Waffle House just before 3 a.m. Tuesday and asked for change.

As the employee opened the cash register, the robber reportedly pulled a gun and tried to take money, but left empty handed, police said.

Mobile police said they’re investigating the incident that reportedly happened at the Waffle House on Airport Boulevard.
