A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday when he was struck by a pick-up truck, Alabama state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. Tuesday, and claimed the life of a Nauvoo, Alabama, man.

Justin C. Morgan, 30, the pedestrian, was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2016 Ford F-250 driven by Jason G. Chambers, 51, of Carbon Hill, state troopers reported.

Morgan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Redmill Saragossa Road near Edgil Grove Road, approximately 7 miles northwest of Jasper, in Walker County.
