Alabama woman dies from injuries sustained in car wreck

An Alabama woman has died after being critically injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle crash, state troopers said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, and claimed the life of a Horton woman.
Shelia F. Sisson, 74, was critically injured when the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt that she was driving was struck by a 2020 Ford Fusion driven by a 17-year-old.
Sisson was injured and transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center for treatment, where she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on U.S. 278 near the 86 mile marker, approximately seven miles east of Cullman, in Cullman County.
