A high-speed police chase ran through three Alabama counties Monday morning, state troopers said.
Two people, the driver Steven Garner, 43, of Jasper, and his passenger, 50-year-old Dana Morales, also of Jasper, were arrested after the allegedly stolen car they were in crashed into a culvert just outside the Chick-Fil-A on Highway 31 in Vestavia.
The chase began in Cullman County and continued through Blount and Jefferson counties, state police said.
Garner, driving a Toyota Scion XD, refused to stop for law officers as he fled on Interstate 65. He eventually left the interstate and got onto Highway 31 and continued running from police through Hoover and into Vestavia, police said.
